Initial reaction....10-2. I could see us going perfect, but I know that is ambitious... 8-4 would be a failure in my opinion. I'll come back to this in a few days with more collected thoughts.SFAXE93 said:

Houston, has 14 players going out, and 19 coming in from the portal for 2025, highlighted by 4-star recruit and former starting QB at Texas A&M Conner Weigman
If we shut down Weigman, by transitive properties we are on par with Notre Dame.

I agree. 10-2 is what I'm expecting.
I think our matchup with UH is the most winnable matchup with an FBS school we've had in a while, just because of the amount of talent we have returning and UH needing to learn an entirely new system and having a lot of new pieces on both sides of the ball. But if we dropped that game, even if we lost by a lot, it wouldn't surprise me or worry me(unless we just looked entirely inept).
I also think we have a bad game somewhere in there and lose one we probably shouldn't. And that's okay if that happens. 11 games in a row is very hard to win, and every team has at least one head scratcher or game that's ravaged with injuries/bad calls. It can actually be a good thing depending when it happens, it can sober a team up when it matters most and gets them fired up. See Ohio State after losing to a bad Michigan team.
