Carthel was hyped up, and evidently still has A LOT of work to do "to get us there..." Meanwhile, Sammy thinks 12 in a row is real funny. I DONT!!

I agree it's only 1 game, but it's ok to be frustrated by seeing the same issues year after year. The penalties, the giving up 3rd and longs time and time again.
I expected the Dline to be getting a better push against these guys.

For all the *****ing and whining only down 10-7 at half. Defense seems to be kicking in.
Concern on offense is that running back Ward left game injured ...starter Reed has hardly played since early fumble. Got enough work to do without losing starting running backs.

For everyone asking for new band music, halftime show was karaoke classic. I could hear Matt singing from across the stands.
Next week we will not be capable of playing a high level of defense against a bigger offense, unless the offense keeps the tech offense on the sideline. I was thinking we'd give them hell, but the sputter is frightening me

Defense has been playing great today so far. It's nice to see some turnovers and big time pressure. Am I the only person that thinks Self hasn't made any progress over the past years. Are the other QB's on the roster that far behind him?
Self has been literally on target all game. Our offense basically requires our running game to be on for our passing game to be working, and we've just gotten the running game going. Self is without question the best QB on the field today.

If Self was more mobile he could have scored on that 3rd down play. Only had one man to beat. Oh, well. We're tied.
Self's numbers today are good. My question is perhaps more the play calling. Why try and run straight up the middle time and again. We haven't gotten our new receivers involved at all today.
As far as Self goes...they said earlier on the radio broadcast that he is a 5th year junior at this point. He would have no excuses at this point not to be on his game each night.
