The SLC has been turned upside down by UIW and Lamar, a flock of Cardinals, who knew?

Well the Cardinals of Lamar have managed to knock some orange off of prison tech (41-23) to string together an impressive two game winning streak against two of the top teams (and UIW) in the conference.

Two of their other three FCS loses were by 6 to SLU and by 1 to Northwestern State.

How do they do it, the old fashion way, they run it, and then they run it again, and then they run it some more.

Don't think he has even been hurt.. it's Jake's team..

Interesting game for Homecoming. 8th and 9th place teams going to battle it out, but Lamar has looked all the sudden very good.

UIW, UCA, and McNeese all tied for first right now. Who's going to finish off the season?

Plan on being there Should be fun. Perfect weather.

Foster actually came in for one play and also in the stats had him down for a tackle. Yes it is Blumrick's Team now as the announcers said at the beginning of the game that he earned the starting job.

Will be there for the bonfire and will be tailgating before the game. Finally looks like a good weather day.

Saw them building the bonfire stack 10 minutes ago.

That was a nice video they put together.

I have perhaps an obvious question:

Do we have a running play that isn't designed to go between the guards?

It seems like every run play is a variation of something right up the gut.

Not off tackle. Not sweep. Not draw.

Dive. Dive. Dive.

I like what Lamar does. Many variations of run. Outside, inside. Draw. Option. Sweep.

Creative running.

Play calling is ok. Blocking is so bad I'm about to take up vaping. The 3rd and long and we rush 3 but leave the middle so wide open the the refrigerator Perrycould have crawled for a touchdown

It's like no one has talked how to stop an option defense. That's all they do. Run. Every. Time.

I hope no recruits are at this game.

I don't know what the refs are watching. Lamar dback just hit our receiver about a second before the ball got there. No call whatsoever

There are 3 sitting behind us. Most of the comments have been okay but they are definitely questioning the play calling.

The play calling is boring and predictable. Yes our blocking is bad but we're not being helped by the offensive coordinators.

This head coach is going to be watching me walk away.

At least we're matching a historical inability to stop mobile quarterbacks.

The recruits need to understand the coaching staff will not be the same in the spring.

First half summary. Same old offense that can't finish drives. Same old defense that can't stop a running QB. Same old fans leaving the stadium early.
