The FCS championship game has switched to Nashville from Frisco, Texas, for the next two seasons. The 2025 season will conclude on Jan. 5 at Vanderbilt University's FirstBank Stadium.

Huge renovation for the stadium in Frisco. $182 million public/private dollars. It is home to FC Dallas soccer and they are kicking in on the deal. Looks like it will be an exciting facility once complete. I hope the plan for FCS is to return there after the 2 year construction period.

Currently, incoming freshmen FB players can play four games without losing a year of eligibility. The NCAA is considering changing that to allow an entire 5th year of eligiblity.

ACU's offense is about to be very high flying. Our defense is gonna need to be stifling to slow them down next season.

Surprised how far he's fallen. Not long ago he was being considered for head coaching jobs after his UNT offense did so well.

I was thinking the same thing, he was one the most popular OC in the nation a few seasons ago, but he tanked at Purdue, which lead to his firing.

Oklahoma State 2009
Washington State 2014-15
North Texas 2016-18
USC 2019-21
West Virginia 2022
Purdue 2023-24

ACU will be good for him, getting back to his roots (Brownwood just down the road from Abilene) built back up his reputation as a quality OC

Look for ACU to be a high scoring offense.

Prison tech won't even be playing their home games in Huntsville this fall. They'll be playing at Shell Energy Stadium in Houston.

Hard to believe this is a real university President.

For context, he made statements regarding Sacramento State wanting to move up to the FBS, referring to FCS football as the equivalent to "JV" football in college football.

Basically talking down on an entire subdivision for which his school hasn't been the most successful in. For example, they have a winning record against only 2 conference opponents.

With Utah Valley leaving the WAC the conference is now down to just 5 teams, 4 football teams. Unless they can rebuild, Tarleton and ACU will likely be looking for a new home this year.

Their fans are humorously saying they want to join the MVFC for football, but that travel would be outrageous. It would be funny to see them try to play the Dakotas on a regular basis.

ACU would be a welcome add back to the SLC. Tarleton has become the new Sam Houston, not in talent, but in how annoying and entitled they sound always talking about the FBS.

For sure. I think both end up in SLC. Just so cost effective. But I do think Tarleton fans are the worse the equilvant of Sam's fans now lol.

High schoolers over the age of 17 can get NIL deals. This really disappoints me about the Texas legislature! The destruction of high school sports has begun, just like it did in colleges.

What was that line from the 'Friday Night Lights' HS football movie? "There's too much learnin' goin' on" in this school.

Hugely disappointing. It's a real challenge for hs and universities.
