Good game coming to NRG on Friday at 7; Katy vs North Shore. Wish i could go, but will be out of town for the Holiday. I thought i heard this was being televised, but the only thing i see is pay per view...
Also anticipating the Foster vs Shadow Creek (5A D1) on Friday (my kids go to Foster). Shadow Creek has pretty much embarrassed everyone they have played--except for Foster which played them close during the reg. season. Shadow Creek is worth watching.

The Tigers score 16 in the 4th quarter to defeat Newton 30-26.

Last season Daingerfield lost to Newton 79-12.

Now the Tigers put their 9 game win streak on the line against fellow district foe PeWitt who Daingerfield defeated 42-38 earlier in the season.

Longview dropping to 5A which is not unexpected. Probably won't be in the same district as Lufkin, but sets up the potential for another playoff showdown.

Yep. All four competed in 2019 UIL state championship football games this past weekend. Great track programs produce great football programs and vice versa.

If Houston Yates HS wins tonight they will tie their national HS record of 15 straight games with 100 or more points.

They're well on their way. leading Houston Wheatley 41-14 after one quarter.

Yates has a good communications program. Magnet school that attracts good athletes. They should win state this year.

Duncanville Head Football Coach Reginald Samples, the 2019 National Coach of the year by USA Today, has been suspended for the first game of the 2020 season and placed on probation for one year by the UIL for using a coach who was not a full-time employee of the school.

Watched them during the 2009 season they set the original record of 15 games. Good lord they were intimidating as hell. Really fun team to watch...

Yates beat Hardin-Jefferson 102-54 tonight in the first round of Class 4-A playoffs. It was #1-ranked Yates' 20th straight game scoring 100 or more points, continuing their national record streak.

Houston Yates HS had its national record 22 game streak of scoring 100 or more points snapped tonight, beating China Spring 75-46 in the 4-A Region III Semi-finals. Before this year, the previous national record streak had been 15 games, also held by a Yates team.
