These attendance numbers are insane.

Georgia Southern's record is 7-18; 1-5 and still made this list.

SFA (13-13; 5-4) vs. HCU (11-14; 4-5)

WHEN: Mar. 27; 6:00 P.M./Mar. 28; 6:00 P.M./Mar. 29; 1:00 P.M.
WHERE: Nacogdoches, Texas (Piligrim's Park)
TV: ESPN+

The battle of the losing streaks, as the defensing SLC Champion Huskies of HCU are coming into town riding a 5-game skid to take on the hometown SFA Lumberjacks, who are currently on number 4 of their own losing streak.

HCU has struggled this season, but do have quality series wins against Tarleton 2-1, and a non-conference win against UTSA, but since then they have been swept by UTRGV, and suffered two non-conference loses to #25 Texas A&M and Rice.

The overall series goes to HCU holding an 18-16 lead, having won the last 6 meetings (5 in Houston), but SFA has won 3 of the last 4 in Nacogdoches.

For HCU look for the starting pitching rotation of Joshua Caravalho (Ace), David Lopez, and Ben Smith.

The Husky lineup is highlighted by Rhett Hendricks, a consistent power threat who led the Huskies' comeback efforts in multiple games during their 2025 sweep of the Lumberjacks.

Jacks look to go Gabe LeBlanc, Cody Templeton, and Dylan Mulcahy in their rotation.

Should be a good matchup!

SFA takes game one 8-5 snapping their 4-game losing streak, while extending HCU's to 6.

The Lumberjacks jumped to a 4-1 lead when the Jacks' lineup was all over starting pitcher Kenan Elarton in only his 2nd start, giving up 4 runs on 5 hits and 2 walks, no K's in 2 innings pitched.

SFA had multiple opportunities to blow this one wide open early with the bases loaded with one out, but credit HCU for weathering the storm and under the arm of relieve pitcher Louis Castano shut the SFA bats down, going three straight scoreless innings, with Castano striking out 5 as the Huskies stormed back taking a 5-4 led into the top of the 5th.

The roles were switched as SFA became the struggling team and the MO had completely switched to the visitor's side as the Jacks were held scoreless for 5 of the last 6 innings, Cody Templeton went only 4 innings giving up 5 runs on 8 hits with 3 K's and 3 walks.

Jack James came in relief and took it to the house going 5 innings giving up no runs on 4 hits, 4 K's and 2 walks getting his second win of the season.

The Lumberjacks had a big top of the 6th when Juan Cantua just missed going over the wall with a smack to right field, making his way around the bases to 3rd for a stand up triple. Rodric Black brought would bring him home with a bomb over the left field wall (his 1st of the season) putting the Jacks up for good at 6-5.

Julian Swift drove in Coby DeJesus (who had walked earlier) with a single making it 7-5 and Mark Henning would increase that to 8-5 with a sac fly to center field to score Cooper Schneider. (His 2nd RBI of the night)

Multiple hit night for Jhett Creel(reached all 5 AB) and Julian Swift

SFA improves to 6-4 in the SLC and goes for the series win tomorrow at 6:00.
