Former SFA pitcher Blane Zeplin has really resurrected his college career transferring to A&M Victoria in the Red River Conference.

Ya think??? Went from ahead 10-1 to behind 16-10 in just a couple of innings. And it ain't over yet. Geezzz Louise... Are we pitching our water boys tonight???

ACU was shell shocked after being down 10-1, the pre-season favorite to win the WAC, and man did they ever recover big, wheels are completely off for SFA.

Solid start by Farney going 4 innings, only 2 hits, 1 run, 3 K's and 1 walk.

Bullpen got rocked after that!

Don't think I have ever seen a game like this before, where a team was in complete control for 5 innings going up 10-1 only to loose on a run rule 20-10 defeat in 8 innings.

Man that has got to be a sucker punch to the gut feel right now for the team.

Jacks back in action Tues. night in College Station against #20 Texas A&M

I'll be at the Aggie SFA with my dad! Hoping for somehow an upset. Just will need good strong pitching.

Hoping the weather stays at bay.

Well SFA is doing things in 2026 like the program did back in the 2010 and 2011 seasons, and the Jacks did beat Texas A&M 7-6 in 2010, and almost again in 2011 leading 5-4 in the 8th before losing 5-7.

SFA gave Baylor all they could handle this season.

But yes pitching will always be the key, as the Lumberjacks have the bats to get it done.

I know it's way too early to celebrate, but seeing how SFA was picked dead last in the 2026 SLC preseason poll, it would be one of the greatest turn arounds in division I baseball history if the Jacks can maintain this level.

They already got past one of the big hurdles in Lamar, and the second one is coming right up in SLU.

LU's Chris Oliver went 6 innings gave up 3 runs on 7 hits, walking 2 while striking out 4.

He is considered the best pitcher in the SLC this season, in his other 3 starts

Just for fun, I looked at the Lamar Baseball page on X. During the game there were eight posts as Lamar was smashing the ball around and running up the score. Once the score was 9-1 there mysteriously were no more posts other than the final score of 14-11. I couldn't help but laugh.

David vs. Goliath match up today against the #22 Aggies of Texas A&M who are concluding their 5-game home stand against the Lumberjacks at Blue Bell Park, where the Aggies are a perfect 12-0 in 2026.

SFA is 4-5 on the road this season, with a 1-27 all time record against Texas A&M, the last meeting the Aggies won 13-4 in 2020.

Junior outfielder Caden Sorrell fuels the Aggie lineup, leading the team in batting average, home runs, and RBIs. He recently moved into 9th place on the program's all-time home run list with his 31st career HR.

The Aggies remain without key hitters Chris Hacopian and Wesley Jordan, due to injury, but still manage to average about 10 runs a game this season (147 runs).
