Bella was on crutches with a full leg brace. Another freshman steps up. #14, Jordan Henderson. Super athletic. Only played one year of club ball, so she still has a lot to learn about the game.

Just curious... Does Greg get paid for doing this, or is he doing it just for his love of the program (which he obviously has)?
I'm sure he gets some sore of pay for his services, but he probably would do it for free.

What Humphreys had available for this match was one junior, two sophomores, and a bunch of freshmen. She won't get COY, but I challenge just about any VB coach in the country to accomplish what she and her assistants have with the injuries they have had to key players. We are way past fortunate to have her.

And their three assistant coaches. I'm especially impressed with Evan Amstutz. The dad of a future Ladyjack that I spoke to said Evan flies all over the country attending club tournaments recruiting for SFA, maybe more than DHump does. We'll have trouble keeping him for very long.
Absolutely. The interaction between Debbie and Evan during a match is worth paying attention to. On several occasions, I have seen her yield part of a time out to him. Madi Wilkerson, doing double duty as the Beach VB head coach, is also extremely good. Amongst her other attributes, Debbie attracts and develops quality coaches.SFA Jack Fanatic said:

The Southland Conference website has us as the #3 seed despite us finishing in 2nd place 2 games ahead of TAMUCC/UTRGV ? Does anyone know the answer ?

Thanks for filling in the information. I knew we were down significantly. Hopefully we get these key player back next year

Actually, SFA will be the #3 seed. There's a stupid SLC seeding system in volleyball based on Gold and Black Divisions. A&M CC will be the #2 seed despite their 4 conference losses because they finished first in the Gold Division and SFA finished second in the Black Division.

I got around to reading that. Maybe we should add enough schools to "actually" break into an east/west alignment.

It is stupid, and there is one very knowledgeable VB coach in East Texas that would agree. The good news is that it puts us on the opposite side of the bracket from SLU.SFA Jack Fanatic said:

The win yesterday again shows the genius of Humphreys. After losing the first set, she replaced a setter with a girl that hadn't played in several matches. And, she replaced a middle that really isn't ready to be playing yet, with another freshman that had an excellent match. I have no idea what the line up is going to look like in the first round. I do know it will be one junior, two sophomores, and some mix of freshmen.
Related, I got to visit with Joseph for a while at the football game. She is off the crutches, and starting to ramp up her rehab. She was the most positive about it I have seen since the injury. The mental aspect of recovering from an ACL injury is huge for these young women. They deserve much more respect than they get from most.
What about Cam Hill? I assume the junior you mentioned would be Jayden Flynn, right?
Cam did not play at Nicholls or McNeese. Jayden is the junior that played in those two matches.SFA Jack Fanatic said:
