It was a good game, SFA was looking good and confident to win, going into the top of the 8th inning up by one 5-4.

Balmaceda then strikes out the next at bat, but then the next batter after that for NSU gets a 2 RBI single to go back up.
SFA pitching with another quality outing by Jack James going 5 innings in his first start, giving up just 1 earned run off of 4 hits, striking out 5 while walking 4. In all the Jacks pitching had 10 K's and 8 walks.
The Jacks were so close to winning their first conference series of the season, but SFA will get two more shots at it with McNeese State and UIW up next.
