The NCAA Division I baseball record for stolen bases in a single game by one person is 7, set by Bradon O'Connor of Benedict College against LeMoyne-Owen in 2019.

But this is extra innings, so it might not count.

What a heart breaker
SFAXE93
How long do you want to ignore this user?
SFA:6 (11-29; 3-18)
Nicholls:7 (15-25; 8-16)
Final (13 innings)

SFA 6 runs off of 13 hits
Nicholls 7 runs off of 16 hits with 2 errors

What a game, unfortunately the Jacks come out on the short end of the stick with another heart breaker in extra innings.

After Nicholls took the lead 5-4 in the bottom of the 5th, Lumberjack pitching held the Colonels scoreless through the next 5 innings, when the Jacks took a 6-5 lead in the top of the 11th and were just 1 strike away from closing it out for the victory, when Nicholls struck again, scoring in the bottom of the 11th to send the game on further into extra innings, where they ultimately won the game on a 2 out double.

#1 Cemodrick Bland (Fr.) continues his late season surge with 2 hits, 2 runs, 3 walks, and a new school record 6 stolen bases. (9 total from the team)

Also, give it up for #24 Julian Swift (Jr.) who impressed with 4 hits, 1 run, 1 walk, and 3 RBI's.

The Jacks head further east across the Mississippi (maybe) into Lorman for a non-conference game against Alcorn State before heading back home.

I'm not sure but I have have missed this before but I just confirmed that we have plans in place for baseball and softball to move to an on campus site sooner rather than later. The land is designated already. Is this old news?
Neither new nor old news. Like all athletic facilities, baseball and softball are part of the University master plan expected to be completed in November. There are some potential athletics facilities lay outs being worked on that most of the athletic staff has seen. Next steps are to consolidate the various parts of the master plan that are being worked on simultaneously. Once the master plan is complete, funding has to be raised. Funding for athletic facilities is different than for academics. There is no UT System magic pot of money for athletics.

There is a lot more work to be done before there are shovels in the ground for any of it.

So I have a question hopefully you can answer

If SFA was or is looking at new athletics stuff like fields etc and also academic expenses and or growth like new forms or classrooms etc and is having to raise money to pay for all this on both athletics and academic side it would limit how much can be spent in each area obviously since money is coming from one source to pay for all the wish list items on both sides

Now if Texas comes along and says hey we will give you money but only for academic side of things then what would keep SFA from using some of their own money they were going to have to use on academics and move that to athletics stuff since the horns decided to help on academic side?
