it is truly amazing...............

If they were a HS team (and only played 7 innings) their record would be much better.

Last night River Curs showing that arm.

He has done this about 3 times this season, throwing the runner out at home from the outfield.

wonder if Templeton is gettin a little arm fatigue . How many innings did he throw last year ? It seems like his last few outings he has been leaking a little oil if you will compared to how strong he was earlier this year. He has still been our best option overall though

Yep. Some NIL $ might get us 2X relievers that could put us over the hump.

Just amazing the crowds and fan support for UTRGV baseball.

That stadium has major league vibes, there are even servers dressed like the ones at major league stadiums.

It's like the whole town of Edinburg shows up.

SFA:7 (9-25; 2-15)
UTRGV:9 (24-10; 15-5)
Final

SFA 7 runs off of 12 hits
UTRGV 9 runs off of 12 hits

The Jacks were all over UTRGV starter and pitching ace Wyatt Wiatrek, jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the top of the 1st causing Wiatrek's early exit after going just one inning.

But the Vaqueros quickly responded in the bottom of the 1st with 4 runs of their own against Hayden Tronson, who got the start for SFA, but like Wiatrek, he got pulled not even going one.

Jack James, who has been pitching very well lately (in his last 3.3 innings has given up only 1 earned run off of 3 hits, with 4 K's, and 1 walk) came in to retire the side to end the bleeding.

Dylan Mulcahy came in for his first time in relief, going just 1.2 innings, giving up 4 runs off of 4 hits (3 earned) getting 1 K, while walking 4.

Jonathan Valdez, went the last 4.1 innings holding UTRGV to just 1 run the rest of the way, allowing only 3 hits, while striking out 4 with no walks.

The Vaquero's took a 9-5 lead into the top of the 9th, when SFA finally answered off of Josh Ibe's 2 run homer (12th) after the Jacks were held scoreless for 5 innings.

Series finale today at 12:00.

SFA:2 (9-26; 2-16)
UTRGV:12 (25-10; 16-5)
Final/7innings

SFA 2 runs off of 6 hits
UTRGV 12 runs off of 13 hits

It was all UTRGV in this one as the Vaqueros sweep the Jacks in a run ruled 7th.

SFA had their opportunities, down early 7-0, loading the bases with no outs in the top of the 4th, Duran just missing on a grand slam sending the ball far out deep to left field, just going foul, a double play and pop out would soon follow ending the threat.

#45 Kevin Duran went 2 of 3 with 1 run off of 2 hits.

Lumberjack pitching went Landry, Balmacera, and Zeplin combining for 3 K's, and 8 walks.

Jacks head back home for a non-conference game against Prairie View A&M, before going back out on the road east to Thibodaux for a 3-game series with Nicholls.

Is it right that I read there is only like $120,000 total for all sports in the NIL fund? We need to get the new stadium built and hopefully some of this supposed revenue sharing helps the smaller schools in the meantime. It is a hard thing to do but gotta get more interest which will come when we start winning these close games.

But I have maintained that even if locat restuarants could supply a meal a week to an athlete that would help keep what little money these boys and girls have in their pockets. And the coaches are going to have to embrace this new era of NIL or they will fall behind. I know technically the coaches are not allowed to do anything with the NIL but we all know they know what is going on and what the cost is per kid they are recruiting.
