SFA (9-19) vs Louisiana-Monroe (12-16)

ULM holds the all-time series lead with a 43-23 record.

The Warhawks swept SFA last season with a 13-2 run rule win in game one and an 11-6 win in the second matchup.

RANKINGS SUMMARY
As a team, ULM enters Tuesday ranked fourth in the Sun Belt Conference with 42 total stolen bases and 1.50 stolen bases per game. Earlier this season versus Alcorn State, the Warhawks shattered the single-game program record for stolen bases and swiped 14 bags versus the Braves.

Isaiah Walker's 14 stolen bases is the second-highest amount in the conference and is good for 51st in the country.

On the mound, Joey Cirelli is one of the most efficient pitchers in the country and holds a walks allowed per nine innings rate of 1.39, which is 28th in the nation and third in the conference, and a strikeout-to-walk ratio of 5.80 (41st in country, 4th in SBC).

The Jacks return to the Nac for a 3-game series against Texas A&M CC, starting Friday at 6:05.

All things considering, offensively the Jacks are doing pretty good, with the starting lineup batting .287, with 117 runs off of 190 hits, 38 doubles, 6 triples, 19 home runs, 114 RBI's, touching base 297, walking 72 times, and 22 stolen bases.

SFA went toe to toe with the conference leading HCU Huskies, and was not only in a position to win the series, but to also get the sweep.

GAME 1: SFA up 4-3 going into the bottom of the 8th (lost 6-4)
GAME 2: SFA up 8-7 going into the bottom of the 8th (lost 12-8)
GAME 3: SFA up 4-3 going into the bottom of the 8th (lost 6-4)

What an accompaniment that would have been for 2025, and on the road, not to mention against a team who has yet to lose a series all season.

Before the season started I was thinking a 20-game win season was do able, and it still very much is possible.

Looking at the remaining schedule, the following teams are very much winnable.

TAMCC (3-games series) (10-20; 2-10)
#1 LSU-Shreveport (NAIA Red River Conference) (34-0) Maybe?
Prairie View A&M (8-21) #273 in ERA 8.84
Nicholls (3-game series) (11-18; 5-10)
Alcorn State (4-21) Last in the nation in ERA 12.35 (#299)
Texas A&M - Texarkana (NAIA Red River Conference) (24-11)
Grambling State (10-17) #290 in ERA 10.41
UIW (3-game series) (13-18; 1-14)

LSU Shreveport has destroyed most of its competition so far by ten or more runs. They just outscored Texas College in a 3 game series 93-4. Yes that is correct runs for a three game series.
SFAXE93
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Well, Texas College has only won 2 games since 2019 and I remember Texas A&M-Texarkana beat them 99-1 in their series in 2022.

But yes, LSUS is a beast, no doubt, 399 runs, 83 doubles, 25 triples, 43 home runs, 361 RBI's, 107 stolen bases, batting .359, pitching with an average ERA of 2.44, BAA .189, 8 shutouts.

I believe they have 5 division I transfers on their roster.

The last time LSUS played a NCAA Division I team was back in the 2014-15 season against Alcorn State and they won 10-2.

LSUS started their baseball program back in 1991 and had 9 straight losing seasons up to 1999, and have not had another once ever since.

SFA (9-20; 2-10) vs. TEXAS A&M CC (10-21; 2-10)

WHEN: Friday, April 4, 2025 (1:05 P.M.)
WHERE: Nacogdoches, Texas (Pilgrim's Park)
TV: ESPN+

BASEBALL HISTORY VS TEXAS A&M - CORPUS CHRISTI FROM MARCH 28, 2006 - FEBRUARY 18, 2024

SFA leads the all-time series 28-24 and the Lumberjacks have won the last two meetings scoring a combined 30 runs.

The Islanders of Texas A&M CC started the season off at 6-5 including some nice wins over #14 UCLA, taking two against Washington State and winning in Houston against Rice.

Things have been an offensive struggle ever since for the Islanders, as the team is batting last in the SLC at .238 averaging just 4 runs a game, with just 11 home runs on the season, which is good for second to last in the conference. Just recently A&MCC snapped a 6-game losing streak, surprisingly in a 3-2 victory over UTRGV in Corpus.

The starting lineup for TA&MCC is highlighted by INF #33 Trey Cruz, the 6-3; 201 senior out of Pearl River, New York who is batting at .300 with 15 runs off of 24 hits, 5 doubles, 1 triple, 5 home runs, 16 RBI's, 10 walks, and 2 stolen bases and first baseman #15 Austin Russell, the 6-0; 195 senior out of Flower Mound, Texas. Austin is batting .295 also with 15 runs off of 28 hits, 1 homer, and leads the team in RBI's with 20.

On the mound will be the Islander's pitching ace #30 Zach Garcia, the 6-2; 206 senior out of New Braunfels, Texas. Garcia has seen action in 7 appearances with 7 starts, pitching 45.2 innings with 1 complete game, has an ERA of 2.56, 2 wins, 3 losses, with 31 strikeouts and 12 walks, BAA is .206.

It's good to have the Jacks back home in the Nac, well rested and ready to take a series or two down the back end of the 2025 season to build momentum and finish strong.

SFA:7 (9-21; 2-11)
A&MCC:14 (11-21; 3-10)
Final

Lots of offense in this one, with a total of 32 hits for 21 runs combined, as the Islanders take game one.

A&MCC 14 runs off of 19 hits, stranding 10
SFA 7 runs off of 13 hits, stranding 8

The Islanders built up an 8-0 lead into the top of the 5th, before SFA answered splitting the lead 8-4 in the bottom of the 6th, but too much offense from A&MCC as Templeton was gone after 4.2 innings, giving up 7 earned runs off of 11 hits.

SFA pitching only managed 2 K's as A&MCC was in the zone, hitting everything thrown over the plate

#2 Ben Hoshizaki (Jr.) went 4 for 4, scoring a run, and a RBI.
#45 Kevin Duran (Jr.) went 3 for 4, scoring a run, and a RBI.

SFA will look to rebound and break their 8 game losing streak tomorrow at 3:05.
