SFA used to dominate this series with an impressive 11-1 lead up to 2018.

But since 2021, it has been all ACU, going 14-2 and now leads the series 15-13.

The Wildcats are riding an 8-game win streak, but have only had one true road game this season, in which they actually lost 7-11 to SLC member UIW in San Antonio.

ACU put up 42 runs in their last two games this Saturday and Sunday against Prairie View A&M.

Abilene Christian has three very good starters with a 7-0 combined record in their pitcher rotation, but who knows who SFA will see on the mound, with this being a non-conference mid-week single game.

The Wildcat's pitching ace is RHP #22 Dominick Reid, the 6-3; 201 junior from Little Elm, Texas, who has an ERA of 2.55, WHIP .93, with 3 wins, and no losses in 24.2 innings pitched, striking out 36 batters with a BA average against at .188.

As a team the pitching has an ERA of 5.96, WHIP at 1.64 and a batting average against at .290.

The starting lineup bats at .281 having scored 111 runs off of 116 hits, 29 doubles, 3 triples, 13 home runs, 103 RBI's, and 30 stolen bases.

Just a good ole rivalry with one of our exes from Texas.

High School:

Templeton attended Johnson HS where he played baseball and was a two-year letter winner. He was a two-year First Team All-District, All State Academic, two-year Team MVP and two-year Team Pitcher of the Year. He finished with a 12-2 record, 1.24 ERA in 90 innings pitched with, 97 strikeouts.

2023:

Templeton started 12 games for the Dustdevils, finishing with a 2-7 record and a 6.61 ERA. He pitched 62.2 innings and struck out 37 batters.

2024:

Started 13 games, finishing with a 5-4 record and a 4.59 ERA. He pitched 82.1 innings and struck out 64 batters.

2025:

Started 4 games, currently with a 2-0 record and a 1.53 ERA. He has pitched for 29.1 innings and has struck out 26 batters.
