I like this pitcher, he has some good stuff, especially with his slider.
Came in for 1.2 innings on 19 pitches faces 5 batters, gets 2 K's and 3 ground outs.
We need to see more of this.

Spring sports are taking a beating....except maybe Bowling.

I saw Hunter Dozier on TV in the spring training line up (looking to make the roster) for the California Angels as they were playing the Texas Rangers.
Ironically the pitcher he was batting against was Grant Anderson, so you had an old SLC match up of SFA vs. McNeese State.

Next up for the Jacks are the Lopes of GCU.
GCU is in a little slump themselves, after starting the season 4-0 with wins over Georgetown, USC, BYU, and Ohio State.
But since then the record has been 2-7.
All be it, the loses have been against great competitors, such as Nebraska, UTSA, and Oregon.
The worst of those loses was a 1-11 score to Nebraska and 0-12 to UTSA.
We need THAT GSU team to show up to the Nac. starting tomorrow, so SFA can end this losing streak.

As others have said, it's about time to send this horse to the glue factory.
Things started off well (in the Jacks' nice new charcoal gray uni's) with a 4-run top of the 2nd for the Jacks, but that was it, the pitching just doesn't hold up and the bats go cold.

I hope we get some resources put into this program. Make it competitive. Hope. Not optimistic.

Right now we look more like a 2A high school team rather than a collegiate program.

Ya. Not competitive at any level. I like Cardenas. Good guy. He could probably get us above .500 if we had some decent on campus/near campus digs. Without facilities, we are wasting money.
Better off funding another program (men's tennis or soccer). Probably at 1/2 the cost of baseball (or less). Put the saved money into something that gets us in a better place.
