The tournament bracket the SLC now has posted has some differences from what had been posted.
We play our first game at 1:30 on Wednesday. SLU, ACU, and NSU are on our side of the bracket, with SLU and ACU playing a single elimination game on Tuesday. After that, it is double elimination. Games will be streamed on ESPN+ until the championship game.

Novegil is the only senior on the list. All-conference infield.
Wow! Incredible haul by a great team. I really hope they have something right turn out for them in the postseason.
The SLC tournament was scheduled to start Tuesday at SLU with two first round, single elimination games followed by two games which would start double elimination. Four games scheduled for Wednesday, with SFA playing their first game at 1:30. The games scheduled for 11:00 AM and 1:30 PM on Tuesday were delayed to 6:00 and 8:30 due to rain. Later, they were delayed to 11:00 and 1:30 on Wednesday due to unplayable field conditions. The rain had stopped about 1:00 PM on Tuesday.
Wednesday morning the SLC announced that due to weather and "inclement field conditions" the two first round games were being delayed to 5:00 and 7:30 and would be played at St. Thomas Aquinas High school, which is about five minutes from SLU. I'd love to see us go to an all weather field if we build new facilities, especially since any month of the year in Nac has the potential to be monsoon season.

Bad call on the last play of the game. Shaylon Govan was NOT out at first base to end the game and the season for SFA. I'm not saying that SFA lost the game on that call, but it took away another plate appearance in the bottom of the 7th for the Ladyjacks.

Another year another conference tournament choke job. I've lost track of how many regular season champs we've had over the years that didn't make it the NCAA tournament because we lost a stupid conference tournament.

That's definitely a part of it. Being a high level team means being in position to be upset in the tourney more often.
But I wonder if there's a way to get over the hump?

Don't just run the numbers for SFA. If you are going to do it, do all sports, all teams. Sam women tennis, and Nicholls MBB won regular season championships this year. Neither won the tournament.

In an ideal world, someone would have compiled the data of all conferences to compare to, but I'll see what I can find.
In respect to women's basketball no one since 2003 has been very consistent in winning the tourney finals.
