This one was ugly. Kriesel was not sharp. The defense was bad. Batting was mediocre at best. They looked ready to get home.

Really young team that will get better. Four of the five freshmen position players have started multiple games. Both freshmen pitchers have pitched. Three of the five seniors are meaningful contributors.

The scheduled home game with Arkansas Pine Bluff tomorrow has been cancelled. No, our field is playable after the field damage repairs and the rain. 0-13 Arkansas-Pine Bluff cancelled due to "transportation issues." They have been outscored 167-37. Team ERA is 13.05. "Transportation issues."

Following two rain outs and one "transportation issues" our home opener will now be against 13-2 Baylor.

Freshman first baseman Shaylon Govan is 11th in the country in slugging percentage. She also is tied for 27th in HR's, 35th in on base percentage, tied for 14th in RBI's, and tied for 33rd in walks per game.

Dickson was saying before the season started that we needed to pay attention to Govan. She is living up to the hype.

Looks like Wilbur is starting to get back to pitching the way she did last year. Not dominating, but getting outs and minimizing walks.
