The Cowboys are 5-2 at home, but have lost their last two (Sam Houston & New Orleans) in Lake Charles. McNeese has lost 5 of their last 8 overall but then again their losses have been by small margins.

Also look for McNeese to be pretty good next season as they are young.

They're all big games from here on out. Even with our road woes, this should be a win. Losses seem to motivate us and wins seem to get us overconfident. We'll see how the worst road loss motivates us. I'm feeling we will incur two more losses, but I don't see this as one...but my confidence is not what it once was.

Wondering if Kevon will come off the shelf for this one.

Yep. This last month is going to define this iteration of the team: a what could have been team or a continuing good tradition team. McNeese is no cupcake this season. They have not given anyone an easy game. It's a long trip, but the way we just got our butt kicked should help. If we're the latter of the two teams, a win on Thursday is imperative.

Agree! I never thought I'd say this, but we have to start making our point blank layup attempts. Complain all we want in the big picture about whether it's coaching or not, but it's about execution after being put in the right position.

But, what have we seen in our conference road games that would indicate this game will be nothing but another close game against (what we all believe is) an inferior opponent.

I don't even want to think about us losing this game, but, I know it's in the mind of people.

We're only a game back in the loss column of 1st...but, we're also only two games up from the 9th spot.

This is the epitome of "must win," not only for confidence but, conference standings.

5 point loss to ACU
7 point loss to UNO in OT
5 point loss to Nicholls
9 point win against SELA
6 point loss to Lamar
10 point loss to Sam

No reason to not think this will be close, but hopefully like 5 of these 6, a win.

Got zero help from teams on Wed night, in terms of standings.
