Hopefully we can keep up the defensive intensity because NDSU can't hang with it.

It's the best midweek crowd of the year, but still not great. Student section looks good though.

Gotcha. From here it's hard to see the whole crowd but didnt look great IMO. Probably would have had a few more if SFA didn't schedule the Christmas lights on the same night.
I'm still trying to figure out what GCU puts in the water to get a crowd like they do.
Offense is slow but this is the best defensive half we've played yet. We can beat anyone with this defense. Now just need to uncork the shots.
I can remember when I was in school that the basketball teams always had issues with SAA, Res Life, IFC, (insert student organization) scheduling events on the same night as games.

Honestly kinda felt like the FAMU game in that we really dominated but never clicked offensively. To give NDSU credit, they have a better defense, but really we were getting looks. Hopefully we can turn it on in the second half like in that game. If we keep this defense up, they will not mount a comeback.

Really? That's surprising since announcer said we had a 1 for 10 stretch. Just said both teams finished under 40% at halftime.

Seems like in every game we've had a long stretch where we couldn't buy a bucket. Most of the misses were within 12 feet. Hope we've got that out of our system now.

The ref right before the half started pulled TJ aside and was talking to him. TJ look flabbergasted at what he said, and kept asking him, "Me?" with a dumbfounded look on his face. Ref called the whistle immediately for that moving screen. All over TJ for some reason.
I don't think anyone predicted a game in the 50's. Slow start with turnovers. Yuck.
Saw that on TV, thanks for the scoop on what happened, seemed really weird to me. Saw TJ's reaction as if he couldn't believe what the ref said. Looks like NDSU is just collapsing back and daring us to shoot from the outside. How does it look in person?

Pretty much. They're playing their big guys back. We put all our big guards out there, and that kind of countered it. But they are big outside and their 3 pointers are keeping them in it. Need Canete to get going. Plus, we'll get the bonus next foul, but we've only fouled once 8 minutes in.
