Would anyone know if there is a full-game broadcast of the SFA v West Virginia game in the 2016 NCAA tournament? I have searched youtube, but all that exists there are highlights. I would be very grateful if someone could point me in the right direction to a source.

It has always made me sad that many of the finest moments in SFA's athletic history --- many that were recorded on camera -- have been lost. I would give my right arm to be able to watch games from the '88-89 football seasons (especially the Grambling playoff game)...the Ladyjacks dynasty under Gary Blair in the late '80s - early '90s...

Ever hopeful, ever discouraged....

The short answer is no to online streams of the game. Your best bet is that maybe someone see this post who recorded it personally and still has a copy. This is probably slim for now. Hopefully one day CBS and the NCAA will open those vaults to the average fan. Condensed highlights are attainable.

Unfortunately while checking on this, I went to the App Store to check on the March Madness app. Their highlight video to get you to download the app is the last seconds of the ND game. I hate them for that.

I haven't had any luck either. Last year somehow my DVR got wiped out so I lost my recording.

thanks for the response both here and in the other forum, nacluth...

PurpleOut, at least you recorded the game...I pulled a complete brain fart in not thinking of that...

Yeah, I was at that game. One of the wildest football games I've ever witnessed at any level, and I've witnessed a bunch of them! I remember being totally drained afterward.

I recorded the game and it's still on my DVR. It's getting it to DVD that takes an act of Congress and a broadcast engineer. But I will eventually do so.

That's a frustration I share with you...have never quite figured out how to get stuff from DVR to DVD.

You can go from the dvr out into a computer or dvd in, just a pain to set up. Need to do it soon to always have the game.

It's probably in your best interest to make several PERSONAL copies to make sure that YOU never lose this game. Then for safekeeping you could keep those copies in several safe places (I'm sure forum members might offer to help). Of course all that effort will probably come at some personal cost, so maybe start a small crowdfunding to help keep it from being too much of a burden. I'm sure people who like being benefactors would gladly help a fellow fan out nor mind chipping in $10 to help YOU not lose this special moment of SFA history. I've always felt the goodwill among the Sawmillers, and I bet you would be amazed at their support.

The Georgia Southern game is on youtube... I re-watched this a few months ago.

I think there's some validity in that idea. Store copies in a tangible cloud as it were. Like an axecloud propagated by Lumberjacks. Of course, the moment is not mine to profit from but to share. Let me explore my dvr, Lumberjacks make great I.T. Specialists.

Txjack:

I found the Ga. Southern game on YouTube, but (and I know this may come off as silly) I cannot bring myself to watch that game. Was there, watched us go toe-to-toe with GSU like no other team had that year, only to fall short. One of two football games in my lifetime that I still can't seem to get over.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL, and may God continue to bless you.

note: I updated my username (no longer pitt2812)...folks may not get the reference, which shows my age...

I'd have a hard time watching the ND/SFA game or the Texas vs Bama games ever again, so I totally get it.

The Notre Dame-SFA game still haunts me. We won that game. There was a horrible no call on Clide right before they got the ball for the final tip in. And Walkup was pushed from behind while going for the rebound. WE WON THAT GAME!!!!
And I can't help but think where the UT program would be right now if Colt McCoy never got hurt in that title game.

The game that still haunts me is the UH vs. NC State national title game, in which NC State beat a much better Phi Slamma Jamma team on a freak last play. I got my Masters Degree from UH, so I had and still have a small allegiance to them, although minuscule compared to my love for the Purple and White.

I retold the ND story to my wife the other night. Easily the most heartbreaking event that I've witnessed. I walked around NY aimlessly as it snowed that night.
