I'd be surprised if that's our primary starting lineup. That being said, we are probably deeper than we have been in 7-8 years. We could have 7 or more guys that garner 16 20 minutes.

Makke's name keeps showing up on here. Looks like we've got a legitimate PG on board.

also Scurry should have a good year. He was a true freshman last year... It will be hard to keep Narit out of the starting line up. Probably too early for predictions for starters but it's fun to try.

Any word on how the TCU transfer Simmons is looking?

Don't know, but I bet he starts, he is suppose to be a great defender (was in high school, considered one of the best in the state).

Wichita State Shocker fan posting for the first time. Watched every home game Matt Brauer played as an undergrad and have become a dual SFA fan.

I think the Lumberjack fans should be really excited for their upcoming season. This season's team appears deeper, stronger, longer and with more shooters. The current Jacks will miss the superb strength and skills of Keon from last year however, I think this team has a much higher ceiling.

Thank you for welcoming me to your forum.

Head Coach Brauer allowed me, my son and a SFA alum to attend the practice on July 31. I spent roughly 20 years coaching basketball, High School assistant, 6-year-old girls,16 and under AAU boys' team that finished 8th in the USA. Plus, everything in between. I'm a gym rat. The SFA alum who attended with me has been coaching basketball for over 40 years. He was a head coach in D1, served as an assistant at Baylor not to mention a number of high school stops and personal instruction.

The three of us came away from the practice enthusiastic about the team SFA's coaches have recruited to represent Stephen F. Austin. This year could be special!!!!!

For a change, we have some options around the rim. We've always played good defense. If the offense can get a little more versatile, I believe you are correct. This could be a special season.

So I guess what you are really saying is that we will be searching for a new coach after this season!!!! lol Just kidding but it is the true nature of SFA basketball when we are successful!

I did see a post recently that listed the top ten up and coming head coaches.Coach B was #1 on-the list. Hope he stays for a while. Didn't he say that he wanted to stay 12 years at his acceptance speech? Lol

We already have old coaches manning the helm at Illinois and Michigan. Might as well give every Big 10 school a MBB coach.
