SFA (4-1) vs. Pepperdine (3-2)

For those that don't know, Pepperdine is continually ranked as one of the most beautiful campuses in the United States. Perched in a valley right about beautiful Malibu Beach, it has some of the best sunsets. But, the Lumberjacks have no time for pretty sights tonight. It's time to get ugly.

Coming off their first loss of the season, the Jacks try to mentally regroup after blowing a 7 point lead with just a few minutes left. Last game got away. This one now counts double.

Teams have learned quick that taking Keon out of the loop is job #1. All our offensive efficiency flows through him. Other players have to get open and execute. Lateef Patrick was the latest in a string of guys to step up in a big way. We need an offensive synchronicity to beat a tough Pepperdine team.

Like the Jacks, the Waves are in the mix year in and year out. Their campus draws in kids that might otherwise go to a bigger school. They're led by senior short forward Javon Cooley (15 ppg, 6 rebs) and sophomore Serbian big man Danilo Dozic (14 ppg, 3 rebs). They take a ton of close range shots and they are top 10 in the nation in offensive rebounds. The boards are going to be big.

A good west coast matchup tonight. Don't get caught up in the glitz of Southern California. It's time to chop wood.

Wow, unbelievable bad run on 3s. Maybe turn that around in 2nd half.

27-16 Pepperdine final first half media. SFA 1-14 from three. Pepperdine 5-8.

Thompson is rather MIA so far.

32-24 Pepperdine at half. Decent finish to the half. Got to have intensity in the second half

Has Mohammed hit a shot this year? I can't recall seeing one go in.

He has but he's shooting 21.4% on the season - lowest of anyone on the team with real playing time.

Winning every non-shooting stat. If we can just hit some shots, we have a decent shot of winning.

FYI. Ladyjack Volleyball wins 3-0 in the SLC Quarterfinal.

Virtually no fouls called in the game. SFA draws three "eh" fouls in the same possession.

Nice little handful of Jacks fans behind the bench at PEP.

Furious first four minutes. 36-35 SFA because we want it more.

Nice turnaround right there. Got some excitement and MO right now.

Narit getting hot.

Consider me a member of the Narit Chotikavanic fan club... This game is electric

43-39 SFA U12. Lots of fouls getting called on us. Turning it up but refs aren't matching our intensity.

Sure ran our foul total up quickly in the last couple of minutes. Already7

Waves already in the 1 and 1. Will our fouls and their free throws be our downfall?

Narit with at least four half court steals.

Boy, these fouls add up quick...

47-45 SFA U8. We're letting them go to the line if they get into a half court set. It's going to be hard to separate this way.
