This was the kind of game I was hoping for. Pepperdine is decent and this was never going to be a blowout for us. We fought through an ugly start, letting them dictate the pace, and pushed through the lopsided foul calls.
The Jacks pulled it together and got the ugly win. This team has real confidence and belief. It's early, but this is the best chemistry and makeup since 2019 and maybe 2016.
Narit was definitely the star of the game, but Colonel made the difference inside. Keon, Patrick and Christmas all had solid games. Alisas provided some nice minutes.
Cam made a shot or two, but does anyone notice him outside a shot every now and then? Mohammed and Scurry still need experience. I don't know what Green's time in the game was about. Is Smith hurt?
I love the trajectory of the team currently. I'm happy the commentators mentioned us being picked 10th in the SLC a couple times.
