Can't remember the last time we had 14 players hit the floor in a real game.

Narit not afraid to shoot.

Great win! 90-65 Jacks!
We took 70(!) shots. Nice offensive night punctuated with some great defensive plays. Plenty to work on but not much to complain about. Let's keep this team rolling.

That was refreshing, fun game!!!
Lots of shooters, ton of energy, and a lot of on ball pressure

I've got an observation (not really a complaint). I didn't see anyone ready to step in as a viable #2 PG if Keon goes down. Anyone see something that I didn't?

Rice 63 (1-1)
(RV) Oregon 67 (2-0)
Final
Rice lead at the half 32-27 and it was tied at 40 with about 10 minutes remaining.
The Owls shot .41% (3FG) (hitting 11 three-pointers) this the the second straight game they have made at least 10 threes. Also they had 11 assists and 14 turnovers, got outbound 42-36 by Oregon.
Trae Broadnax 17 pts
Nick Anderson 16 pts
Jalen Smith 14 pts and a game high 5 assists (hit 4 three's)
Stephen Giwa had a game high 9 rebounds
G: Nick Anderson is a key addition to the team, a transfer from Prairie View A&M who lead the SWAC in scoring last season with 19 PPG
C: Stephen Giwa, if you will remember from Texas A&M CC, lead that team in FG%
G: Trae Broadnax is their returning lead scorer from last season, scoring in double digits 24 times.
Going to be a good road test in Houston for the Jacks.

Keon has come to play this season, he is going to have a huge year. Really impressed with Narit. He is not scared to shoot the rock. Backup point guard looks like an issue right now. Need Ahmad and Scurry to step up. I really think they need a few games to adjust to playing Division 1 ball.
