Mika Perry is a pretty good player, but her shot is far from a thing of beauty. It looks discombobulated and needs a lot of work. So it's no surprise that her shooting percentages are very low.

Just wondering if we are EVER going to get any of our injured players back? So far just playing with the same 8 all year!

Ladyjacks defeat Nicholls 86-78 on the road. Did not get a chance to watch tonight.
Checking box scores we had 4 Ladies that played 33 minutes or more up to Gardner 38.
Farrier only had 3 minutes which is very unusual. I hope she did not get injured tonight.

Well, the Ladyjacks took care of that "playing with the same 8" problem in tonight's game. One of their players, Farrier,went down with what looked like a pretty bad ankle injury. So SFA will be playing with only 7 for at least the next few games.

Tonight, the Ladyjacks committed 25 turnovers, TWENTY-FIVE, and still managed to win 86-78 against a below-average Nicholls team. The term "protect the ball" is not in their vocabulary.

The real head-scatcher in the one, IMO, was SFA still jacking up 25 footers only 7-10 seconds into each possession late in the 4th quarter. This was when Nicholls was coming back from being way down and the game was still in doubt. Not using up any of the clock. Doing such a dumb thing is on Coach Bishop, since the girls were just playing the way they were told to.

Watching this set of Ladyjacks play gives me heartburn and/or a headache every game.

I've told PilotGirl to be working on her 3 pointer, never know when we'll need her.

I love Coach Bishop, too. But how he handled that situation just did not make sense. You don't keep jacking up quick threes when the enemy is closing in on you at crunch time.

This is second consecutive year that we are playing with a really short bench. When is it just bad luck, or something else. We are too good of a program to not have enough players to effectively compete at the highest level. McNeese will eat our lunch.

Farrier playing today against UNO. Guess I need to work on making more accurate medical diagnoses on the fly.

SFA 36-30 at the half. Roseby with 10 and Perry with 9. But only 5 turnovers in this one.

Can't separate from a 1-15 team.

Pulling away now.

IMO, the two most athletic players on this team are Key Roseby and Lydia Cajuste.

Good to see both Avery and Ashlyn supporting the team on this road trip. Bodes well for having them return next year.

Remember that we're also missing highly touted freshman Talia Vann. And we'll be getting three very good freshmen next year.

Ladyjacks up by a bucket 35-33 at half over the Lady Demons.

Not looking good in this third quarter. Thankfully Kemp hits a three.

53-49 SFA after 3. Ladyjacks hit two threes to end the quarter.

Myka played for about a minute clock time in only one shoe.

I swear that's about once a game for her.

With a one possession game with 90 seconds left, the Ladyjacks put a couple of possessions together to get a good lead.

It wasn't consistent, but when the Ladyjacks had lost all momentum in the third, Kemp hit a big three to break the rut. Then with 90 seconds left and the momentum swung to the Lady Demons, Kemp made a great runner to open it back up. Big momentum swings.

70-63 SFA Ladyjacks win! Suited up 8.

Kemp 21 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists, 2 steals. Monster game.

They were called something else before they were allowed to be called the Ladyjacks. In the SFA State Teachers College days, I believe. I can't recall what it was. Do you remember, 76? Maybe it was a couple of years before you got there.
