13-16 TXST. Some sloppy play and a whole bunch of prayer shots.
Some bad basketball in the 1st quarter by both teams. SFA something like 3 of 16 shooting FGs. Tx St could be well ahead but have missed many shots as well. Neither team looks good or perhaps even interested.

We have a team that can't shoot. Not sure what the problem is, but that must be resolved or this season will be very long.

Roseby did not score in the loss to Longwood (if I recall correctly) and hasn't shot well tonight---no one has.
Hopefully she will find her shot again soon.
With 2 full time players out injured, 3 freshman seeing lots of playing time--that they otherwise wouldn't be getting as many minutes yet, the issues are real.
Tx St is bad but we are not producing--at least in first half.

Cha twisted her ankle 10seconds into second half. Not good.
Geez......watching the replay many times to see what she did. Came down awkwardly on her somewhat twisted right foot.
Let us hope that it is a minor injury. Ladyjacks are off for a week or more after tonight so time to heal IF minor.

I said this a couple of weeks ago. I think it's absolutely ridiculous that they haven't done so before now. Makes no sense!!! A D-I team with only 7 or 8 players?? Every team they've played this year have had a full bench of 13 or 14. You can't tell me that on a campus of several thousand young ladies there aren't 2 or 3 with pretty good high school experience that wouldn't leap at the opportunity to try out.

We were at the FB game and attended WBB last night too. We will make MBB at 2 and them head home.
Anyway, it's definitely a struggle year. Will support them anyway bc for all the great years we have, we are bound to have some down ones as well.
The Freshmen are FRESHMEN. I kept sighing at the mistakes they were making and had to remind myself that they are babies. Monie is being a leader on the court. It was good to see her talking up the players and resetting them after each play. Lydia is contributing but we have to remember she was out all year last year.
We are so used to a certain brand of WBB that it's difficult for us to not see that. I will say that we even for how we played last night, we were still in it the entire game and we able to rally and pull out the W.
At halftime, there was a female student who did the shooting challenge and she was great! Made all her attempts and took her only twice to nail a 3. V and I were ready to go get her a Ladyjack uniform!!!
Key seemed a bit off...she played better in 2nd half. Watching Cha go down was rough, especially after Patterson on the field earlier. Its so difficilt to watch these athletes get hurt because to me, there are still kids (i feel this way the older i get lol) and STUDENTS first. But before she was hurt, Cha seems to be moving around the court better compared to last year. Just trying to find positives! I dont care to see another injury any time soon! Was great to be back in Sawmill again!
