Lamar should have been in late in the game.
Nice to get a win. A win can boost the spirit and confidence. Still a longshot to get back to 8th place.
Obviously we played a weaker opponent but i feel like our offense was much better tonight. I get that we shot a lot better, but it felt like our offense was much smoother. Looks like we have a little more freedom to be "athletes". Seems to me in the past we weren't as aggressive because as soon as someone made a bad pass or bad shot, they knew they were going to be taken out. Also like the fact we only had one "big" in the game at a time. It's not like Stone or Southwick contributed much away from the basket and having an extra shooter opened things up a little more.
With UTRGV's loss, only 2 games out of 8th seed.

I second that thought. With this group, it feels like we are better with 3 guards 1 small forward 1 big (Nana or Southwick)

Sylla was dressed but didn't play, Southwick out. Thought Emmanuel played very well in extremely limited minutes. Daveon got about 45 seconds. Pangonis was fairly effective in his limited minutes.
Still trying to figure out if Jasick wants an A squad playing most of the minutes or is just getting some new roles established. Without a run of about 2 minutes where we hit 3 threes, this game could have been tight.

Thompson had a double double with 17 points, 10 assists. First one I remember seeing with assists since Walkup.

IMO, Southwick was not missed at all. One of the biggest disapointments since he got here. Not aggressive at all for a big guy, can't hit bunny shots, and has bricks for hands. (Other than that, a great player.
