I doubt they would make an announcement if the coach was still playing in the conference/NCAA tournament with their current team. Most names that have been thrown around are still playing.

WTAM is playing in their conference tournament this weekend as a #6 seed. If they lose and it is Tom Brown, I expect an announcement to follow shortly after.

Most other coaches talked about, except Isaac Brown, will end up in the NCAA tournament, so it would be a while if it was one of them.

Kilgore has a 6'3 soph. guard, Cahmai Crosby, that dropped 27 on us last night. He played really aggressive with the ball and extremely confident. Not sure if he has any offers or not but might be a solid player to go after.

by the end of the week could mean a P5 assistant or a coach that's not still in the conference tourney???

Agreed it's impressive. It's unfortunate that we have to take it all with a grain of salt because there's no D1 experience. The game is just massively different.

I just can't believe that he, coming from a D-II school, has a national name recognition that would attract top players. The guy from a respected Big 12 program like Tech probably would. Plus the HC at Tech says he's a "relentless recruiter". I like the sound of that.

Starting to see several HC's let go in the past few days. It was obvious Keller wasn't a fit anymore so making the move in season allowed McBroom time to see what was available. Good head start on other programs at our level. Nice job by our AD.

Good observation. And the guy undoubtedly has a ton of connections around Texas, so he should recruit the state well.

And you know he made connections all around the country while recruiting for UNT and Tech.
