The Lumberjacks are headed on their third trip to Vegas in search of their first win. A middling conference season sunk any chances of a first round bye for the Jacks, but the final two games of the season have sparked a little life into the squad. AJ Cajuste's return has given some pop to an offense that was struggling to hit 70 points. Can this be the start of something special for the Jacks?
The Wildcats have been here before. All but counted out in the season, they won 7 of their last 8 to just qualify for the tournament. They were able to knock off both Seattle and GCU at home. Two years ago, they improbably played four games in four days making the WAC final. They know as much as any team the power of momentum.
This season, the two games had a one point difference combined in regulation. It's a good matchup. It's a good tournament game. It's a good time to be a Lumberjack.
