SFA put itself into the winners side of the bracket with the first round win over Loyola Marymount. Next up will be the second round matchup against Drake at the 12:30pm game tomorrow (11/20).

Drake topped Oakland in the first round with two of its guards putting down 22 points a piece. Overall Oakland had the better shooting percentage, but Drake only turned the ball over 7 times in the very tight game which ultimately was the difference. They had 22 assists on 30 made shots.

SFA looks to get out to a faster start in game two and keep another good three shooting team from finding their shooters. Passing lane defense will be the name of the game. SFA needs to keep distributing points and turn Drake over.

Should be another fun one for a chance to go to the championship game.

Depth is on our side.

Three Drake starters went 33/34 minutes today. The other two went 21 and 26.

Jossell went 30. Christmas, Cajuste, and Hall were 24-28. Christmas, of course, was off the bench.

Worst part of these tournament is not able to watch. Can't justify forking out more money for these games. This would be a really good win, going to take a good effort today.

If you download the FloHoops app, skip the register stuff, it will give you game previews. It's a small box to watch the game in with no sound, but it's better than nothing.

Lumberjacks shot 60% in the first half, outrebounded them by 2 to 1, six steals. Beaubrun 8 pts, 5 boards. Spread out offensive attack with hands everywhere.

Only negatives are that we turned it over 11 times in the first (forced 8 to's which is more than Drake had all last game), and Drake is still shooting 45%.

Got to keep up the pressure, but about as good as a first half as the Jacks were looking for.
