Is this the first time NET has been calculated since the NM State forfeitures? If so, I assume that is the main reason since we lost to them.

Yep. One of the issues with the system is that you can never say, we have 1.5 points and a win will be .3 points so our new score will be 1.8 points.

Every point value for every game all year long changes value every time. You have to hope that the teams you played do better after you play them. Seattle was a great win when we beat them, but losing 5 games now has made it ho-hum.

There's no real way to analyze your place with this system and it makes it frustrating. I'm not saying it doesn't do what they say it does. It just doesn't work in a very transparent way ultimately.
