I just watched the game again. There are a couple of things that I just have to comment on.

Early in the game the announcer said SFA made it to the NCAA tournament last year, so they got a taste of it and want to go back. Apparently he knows NOTHING about the Ladyjack program and its rich history.

Although this has been mentioned before, I still have to say it. The woman called Stephanie a Swiss Army Knife, and the guy said she is from Sweden and there are lots of references you can make - Swiss Army Knife, Swiss watch, etc. The man still somehow thinks that Swiss = Swedish. How embarrassing.

It will be interesting to see if Grand Canyon can keep up this defensive intensity. It's not just the press, they are double teaming every ball handler.

Going to need Mitchell to play heavy minutes. Our secondary ball handlers are having trouble with the pressure.

Fortunately I've known this since I was at SFA in the 70s during the Sue Gunter era, but people are missing out big time if they aren't watching our women play. It is every bit as entertaining and exciting as watching the men in my opinion. Of course I'm a basketball freak and love to watch just about anyone, but still - these ladies are awesome!

My sister has been working the American Athletic Conference tournament in Ft Worth. She is a basketball fan, and texted me while she was working the Houston game the other day. Went on and on about how incredible the Houston team is. I couldn't wait to tell her the Ladyjacks beat that same team by 21 points in November. She was slack-jawed. LOL
