Really happy to have another home game following tonight. As bad as Corpus looked tonight, I wouldn't expect them to play the same at home next week. One game at a time. Nicholls is 2-1 and has no mid-week game this week. 6:00 tip-off, hope the community comes out.

This will be interesting. Even when Nicholls isn't good they challenge us.
Nicholls loses tonight to Northwestern State 86-81. They are now 2-2.
After only two weeks of conference play, there are no undefeated teams. The coast to the top is clear if we can continue to get our act together, starting this weekend against Nicholls.

Yeah I don't know why my schedule didn't show them playing this week. They had a double digit lead last night in the second half and still lost.
Pretty sure 11 in the first 4 minutes is the best all year.

TJ and Ivan both with a foul in the first minute. Then TJ comes back in and immediately fouls again. He didn't even try to not foul him on the lay up attempt.
Good start but have got to cut down on the early fouls.

3 extremely questionable calls against the Jacks have Nicholls on a 10-0 run. Still up by 8 though. Refs!
Yeah nacluth---it seems home or road we get the brunt of the foul calls.

Same crew that worked the Wednesday game. Not. Good.
These Nicholls defenders have some flimsy ankles. I lost count of how many have hit the floor while guarding the ball.
I'm excited to see us play up to this caliber without fouling. Come and get some Southland.

Looks like we're playing very good transition defense.
This one wasn't close after about 5 minutes. Good team ball. Love to see the confidence building. Nicholls just couldn't ever seem to catch enough rhythm to get momentum. Total credit to the defense. Our shooting percentage wasn't bad against that zone.

Another solid if not dominating performance. If we could win 4 of the next 5 I'd feel significantly more positive about our post season possibilities.
Great game. lights out shooting. Our defense was top notch. Love the full court court press especially when it leads into a trap. The real test is how we play on the road. We also have to cut down on the turnover and of course stop committing early false. Looks like Isaac was right about the team and fans being patient.
Back to back strong wins are very encouraging, now comes a 2 game road swing. Will be a good test to see where this team is at right now. A&MCC will surely be out for blood on Thursday.

Great game - and great win. Took some time to gel, but I think the team is starting to come together. Very exciting to watch!
Exactly. Now let's see if we can control our excitement as we go to some hostile environments. Hopefully we can maintain our discipline and play with some edge.

I was unable to watch the game. Can someone explain why Canete only took seven shots (making four) and only one from downtown, even though he had 20 minutes of playing time? After his big game against AMCC I had expected more offense to continue from him.

He just never really got the ball in a good shooting position. He always had somebody extended on him which caused other people to be open.
Yeah it looked like they especially took notice of Holyfield and Canete to start the game- plus his foul trouble broke up the minutes he was in. But when he got the most minutes at the end, the impetus seemed to get in low to TJ more than perimeter shooting.

So I thought the Jacks deserved a good review from me. This team looks completely different than the one that played at Lake Charles and ACU. There seems to be an escalated sense of swagger and less hesitation. Leon has played very well the last two games. He is really starting to find his role and stay to his strengths. His passing has been a 180. Defensively he has improved as well. I wish we could use him up top on traps every-time but someone has to guard the rim.

Maybe I'm just in a bad mood because f Aaron Rodgers, but it actually kind of annoys me that everyone was ready to fire this Keller guy and now suddenly those same people are totally on board. If I was a coach I'd probably hate people like us.
