We're not in a good spot right now, which makes this game bigger than normal. The season is far from lost just 3 games in. We need everyone to keep the support going and give the guys a big crowd, the best we can with school still being out.
I'm not throwing down any bold predictions right now, BUT..sfa17 said:
We can't scored and it looks like cc can. The only advantage we have is that the game is at home. I don't think it will be much help. The southland home record will be broken. Feels like every team Is getting their revenge on us for the last 3 years.
Even If we win, I won't get my hopes up bc this season has been so up n down. I'm tired of saying that "this game is the turning point"
SFA opponents have averaged 45 shots over the last 5 games even with all the turnovers. Corpus took 63 against NSU and had one of their best % nights of the season to score like that. Demons don't believe in using shot clock so lots of extra possessions. Its why everyone thinks NSU can't play defense even when they're good.SFA88 said:
SFA is a muddled mess right now. A big part of the reason for that is they turn the ball over A LOT. Corpus will have plenty of possessions to work with.
Agreed, we were really lucky to be able to have that good of a team. No doubt in my mind we would have beaten Wisconsin in the next round.PurpleForever said:
Meech really was a special shooter. On any other team in the conference I feel like he would have averaged close to 20 a game. That team is one that years down the road we will look at and think, wow what a special team. Should have been in the sweet sixteen and battling for the elite eight. That team just had it all. I miss those guys so much. They played so unselfish.
That's about right, for now.BigJack85 said:
312.......... wow. How the mighty have fallen. We are close to the very bottom of D1. We'd be a bottom half team in the SWAC.
I don't know if I have seen a team, especially from mid-major, be so strong fundamentally. I hate to say this but I really think that may be the best team SFA will ever have. We can be good again, but they were legitimately one of the best teams in the nation.PurpleOut said:Agreed, we were really lucky to be able to have that good of a team.
