While I agree with the ACU winning call, I don't think it will be that close, having seen the anemic play of Lamar vs. SFA. I think the Wildcats win by two touchdowns. Just my semi-educated opinion...and "semi" may be stretching it...

Agreed, ACU's offense is too strong and Lamar is not built to play from behind. When we played Lamar I said if we could build a 2 score lead Lamar would not be able to come back.
ACU's offense is a little more explosive than ours, but then again, our defense is on another level than it was when we last met, so I'm not worried about that offense when we face them.

I have no doubt it was over 20000, I just get tired of people claiming that a high school game is the largest crowd in Homer Bryce history when there's honestly no way to confirm it. There is an official number for the SFA game in the 90s, no number for the high school game.
And it only bothers me because I've seen other fans try to use that to trash talk SFA.

I was at the game vs McNeese. 23,000. The stadium was completely full and grass ramparts were almost completely full. They put up some stands near the fieldhouse. They were full.

ACU making Lamar look pathetic on defense. Two possessions, two long drives for TD's. 14-0. Lamar doesn't deserve to be in these playoffs.

That's normal for first round games. They're usually the worst attended games of the year for all of the schools because of the holiday.
A little bit of looking ahead but Yale may have a legitimate chance to upset Montana St next week. Which if we beat ACU, would set up a home Quarterfinals game.

That would be a dream scenario, but I don't think that Yale will have a chance vs. Montana State.
