Vidlak with only 67 yards passing on 14 of 19. Their guy has 145 on 11 of 22, with much of it on two plays.

Now for some cheerful news... UT 31, Prison Tech 0 at the half.

And UIW lost again today to go to 1-3. Here's hoping we don't join them wearing that collar.

BIG Pic 6!! Defensive TDs are nice.

Our punter from Down Under is doing a great job tonight.

2 good passes by Vidlak on that drive--one drop but the other leads to the score. Looking good now at 28-10.

And just like that.... We have a passing game. Vidlak threw two accurate dimes!

Man what a TD pass earlier

We would be winning by a lot more if not for some dropped passes, but in really happy with this second half.

Much needed adjustments. Love to see it.

Defense has been outstanding. Cut out a few of the stupid penalties and we win a bunch of games.

We have some real depth. And lots of options. If the offense can get some momentum, our defense will keep us in a lot of games.

Call me crazy, but I'd give game balls to our punter and our long snapper. They allowed us to maintain field position in the first half while the game was still close. I would expect Carthel to mention the punter in his post-game presser.

Punter is definitely my player of the game. Throughout it all he kept us in it until our offense was finally able to get going. Crazy how we replaced such a great Australian punter with another equally good Australian punter. Maybe even better.

As far as the game is concerned, I got really worried early, but those second half adjustments on offense combined with how lights out our defense played makes me feel a lot more comfortable moving forward.

Still need to clean things up and figure out how to start faster on offense. Definitely need to pass protect better and catch the ball when Vidlak puts it on the money, but we are trending in the right direction now. If we keep improving every week like this, we're going to be a hard team to beat.

Glad we won, but I have to say I am not at all impressed with our offense.

My thoughts.
The good: I feel like all of our big-time players made big plays. Harris, Vidlak, Southard… all had some great moments.

The bad: I wish I saw more big plays from our team. A 45-point performance would put me more at ease headed into conference play.

The ugly: constant fear that Vidlak is injured progresses into this week. Would've loved to see him play the full game.

Seems like the running game is on pretty good footing. The passing game still needs improvement/refinement.

No takers. But special Sunday Sale: willing to still let these tickets go next to nothing for those jacks fans that would love to say they 'were there' when we beat CalPoly.

Bugs has played, he had the punt return for a touchdown against ACU. The offensive linemen and Bobino haven't I believe. Hopefully we get to see at least a few of them this week.

The injuries on the line make a lot of sense for how they've performed so far. I'm hoping their injuries weren't significant and it was intentional to hold them out until conference play started.

Carthel even said in the press conference he didn't think Cal Poly was going to be this good when we scheduled them but man, that team really has some dawgs, especially on the defensive line.

This turned out to be a quality win against a decent opponent, now to turn the page because we have a good old fashioned revenge game to look forward to.

Yes Bugs has played, but he didn't play in the last game against Cal Poly so I was just assuming.

I agree on the OL so basically with the transfer of Adams, SFA is replacing 3 OL men this season.

Glad we won, but I have to say I am not at all impressed with our offense.

Offense performed alot better in the second half. Run game looks strong with the great Run Blocking. Give Vidlak more time in the pocket and I think the passing game is there. Alot of good adjustments in a second half and helped propel the team with a win. All around I give the game a 7.5/10 Some small things that need to be fine tuned but pretty good. Defense needs to get some turnovers though.

Like the penalties, it just seems like there is always one or two that happen that keep a drive going that turns into a score.

During the broadcast, Meyers said Bugs was having a hamstring issue so that's why he didn't play vs CP. Also said Babino was still out. Did not mention a return date.

Meyers or Hunter also said that Carthel was all over number 30 that committed the offsides penalty on 4th down that kept CP drive alive and led to a score.

Wimbley's 3rd best day rushing as a Lumberjack.

You have to hand it to Wimbley, they shuffle in all these FBS running backs, but in the end he hangs in there looking for his opportunity to rise above, and is now approaching 2,000 rushing yards in his SFA career.
