Choppin'' wood, swinging shirts, everything but a solid program. But, maybe they'll go on a big streak, let's hope so, again.

Pretty much we got out adjusted. ACU adjusted a few things we did nothing.

Only saving grace is that this is out of conference. But man. This one really hurts. Wouldn't be shocked if Carthel is gone at some point during the season if this continues.

I wouldn't even give Carthel early success at SFA. Once he made it to the playoffs the rest no playoffs. I rather take him than Nepotism Coach Conque starting Zach Conque all three years of my schooling at SFA.

We'll beat Sul Ross (where I almost went to school way back when) probably 75-0 and give Carthel a 5 year extension

I already know what will be said at the press conference.

Meanwhile, UTRGV won at Prairie View A&M and now sits at 2-0, and Lamar upset #4 South Dakota.

If Carthel gets any extension, I will be sending my SFA license plates, all flags, shirts, and stickers, and maybe my diploma back to SFA. I am done with Carthel. It may sound good, but We are NOT "East Texas Tough" with this leadership!

Back to football, I'm wondering if Vidlak's injury from last year has limited his range. Outside of the one nice 40 yard pass in the first quarter, he seems to be mostly throwing short and doesn't look smooth.
The OLine appears to be an issue as well. Protection was absent vs UH and not a lot better tonight and the running game was ineffective.

Sul Ross is bad so the win will be easy but no challenge. After that though??? at this point.

Really missed Nate Adams today. Stud O-Line that transferred to South Dakota State and played everything upfront when he was here. That o-line group last year helped the offense a bunch and yesterday proved that.

Adams is now on a very good South Dakota State team that just beat #3 Montana State on the road and improves to 2-0.

Once again I find myself wishing I could get behind this program. They just don't give me a reason to believe any longer. They clearly were not very disciplined or we wouldn't have seen the stupid penalties. And Carthel is incapable of making in-game adjustments, or so it seems. Count me severely unimpressed - as usual.

As usual Carthel has an uphill climb to keep his job. I'm hoping he can make it happen. Last night was mind boggling. The sequence in the 2nd quarter is unexplainable.

I'll be back and supporting the Jacks next week. Frustrated as heck. Of course. Sending my license plates back. No.

What is the most frustrating is the fact that Carthel loves the Nac area and wants to stay here for a long time, even invested in a franchise business in town, meaning if the program was finding success with championships and playoffs, he would still stay on and not go elsewhere to bigger programs which is what usually happens with successful coaches at SFA.
