They need to run the clock.

WE have had broadcast issues for some time now.
Camera has slipped off the action a couple of times but not too bad. We have been getting some replays.
I'm not impressed with the announcers but maybe they will grow on me.
Actually still waiting on a breakout year with our ESPN+ coverage. Several of the WAC schools had much better overall broadcasts, not sure about SLC.

Not broadcast related, but we need new commercials. Graduated 30 years ago and have been back a few times recently. When you see concrete everywhere (DFW) the sight of all the green grass and trees is beautiful. Wife had never been and that's the first thing she commented on and she did several more times. Maybe you take it for granted when you're from East Texas, but we have a beautiful campus. How do you not show that in a commercial?
Agreed. Sounded like two college students sitting in the student section, especially the play-by-play. Not exactly Pat Sumerall. They need a parabolic microphone to capture crowd noise. Heck, just stick an ordinary mic outside the booth window to pick up something.Slapjack22 said:
Am I the only one that thinks there is a downgrade in the quality of the broadcast?? I know there is some changes in broadcasters and staff but doesn't feel the same.

My takeaways.
-Vidlak has a good arm. Obviously we easily overmatched an NAIA opponent, but he was putting balls on the money all night. No bad passes or decisions at all.
-We are deep in the RB room. It didn't matter who was running the ball, we looked explosive with everyone.
-We have depth at QB. Rutherford and McElyea either one could be a good option if Vidlak goes down.
-The defense needs to keep the aggression going every week. Not just because we played a smaller weaker team. That pass rush will give opposing QBs fits.
-The fan turnout even with the rain delay on a Thursday was a very good sign of what to come if we keep winning.
Scheduled May 30th. Think it was basically the only team left for that date after the late conference move.14jacks said:
Yeah, I think this is a bad look on our program and conference. If you're going to schedule a warm up game, make it a D2, even if it's a bad D2, but don't make it an NAIA game.
Would love to know the backstory on this one… When was it scheduled? Is it a filler game because we couldn't find someone?
Well, this makes more sense then.TallTexan said:Scheduled May 30th. Think it was basically the only team left for that date after the late conference move.14jacks said:
