So SFA brought along about an 8 foot tall pine tree trunk to replace Chief Caddo tonight. Team went to endzone to get it and carried it over to sideline as they would have done the Chief.

On another note, announcers said the Carthel had talked about maybe a statue of Big Foot to be the trophy

No, just No.

If Carthel demands it, we will have big foot dammit.

Kudos to the O-Line. We thought they'd be good this year and they most certainly have.

Really would put an asterisk on that interception by Maurer too because it was a great defensive play. One of the very few of the game for NWST.

Would like to point out this is a professional quality broadcast here, at least camera work and audio wise.

Their play by play guy is great
As the aforementioned play-by-play guy, just want to say thank you for the kind words. We have made a real commitment at NSU to producing the highest quality broadcast we can. We treat it as an ESPN broadcast, not an NSU one, so we strive for neutrality and telling the story of both teams. And most of the crew is students, including all of the camera operators. Glad folks enjoyed it!

We looked really fast. Especially on defense. The work on the edges was stifling at times.

Still waiting for the passing game to jell.

I used to think Abilene Christian's communication department had the best broadcast, but now IMO, NSU has set the bar even higher.

Hopefully this will be the benchmark in quality for other Universities to strive for.

You can really see a difference from last season, in how the defense seems more dialed into the game.

Kudos to the defensive staff in getting these guys motivated and ready to play.

I'll just second what others have said. Excellent job by the ESPN+ broadcast team. I didn't detect a bit of bias toward NSU the whole game. On some streaming broadcasts by other universities (more so in basketball than football) the home team bias makes it almost unwatchable. Not so last night. Thank you, Sir!
