I still get emails from UTEP because I went there 2 years as an undergrad. They just sent this today:
Athletics

UTEP Athletics has announced its COVID-19 Fan Protocols for the 2020 football season, which will kick off next Saturday (Sept. 5) when the Miners host Stephen F. Austin in the Sun Bowl.

"We have spent the better part of the last few months analyzing our venue and, in coordination with our Special Events team, have formulated a plan that we believe will provide the safest experience possible for our fans," UTEP Director of Athletics Jim Sentersaid. "The key will be turning policy into practice, and we ask that all fans review the protocols thoroughly before making their way to the Sun Bowl this fall. Our game day experience will look different this year due to COVID-19 but, if everybody does their part, it will still be a safe and enjoyable experience for all."

Key takeaways from the 2020 UTEP Football COVID-19 Fan Protocols include:

Tailgating will be prohibited
Parking lots will open three hours prior to kickoff
All advance ticket and parking pass sales (prior to game day) will occur through remote means (no in-person transactions) (915) 747-UTEP, www.utepminers.com/tickets, tickets@utep.edu
Fans will be able to purchase tickets in person on game day at either the North or South Sun Bowl box offices beginning three hours prior to kickoff
All tickets and parking passes will be delivered digitally
Face coverings/masks will be required for all fans
Gates will open 30 minutes earlier than usual (two hours prior to kickoff) to assist with fan entry and social distancing
A clear bag policy is in place and will be enforced when entering the venue
All fans will have assigned seats and are asked to remain in their seats so social distancing can be practicedRestrooms will have capacity limits
Sanitization stations will be erected throughout the stadium
Concessions meals will be pre-prepped and sealed
Restroom and concessions lines will be queued so social distancing can be practiced
Water fountains will not be available
All stadium staff and game day personnel will be required to fill out and complete an online COVID-19 screening form prior to arriving to campus for game day, and will wear face coverings in venue
Frequency of cleaning by custodial staff will be increased, especially in high traffic public areas
Fans will be instructed to depart the venue in a "deplaning" fashion

??? Interesting terminology. By section number, perhaps?

I guess lol Their attendance has been dismal the past several seasons so social distancing shouldn't be an issue.

They have one of the best stadiums in college football so it's a shame they have been so terrible for so long.

Really is a beautiful stadium. I think the challenge is that they have been persuaded that they're a football school when they're Texas freaking Western.

They have a football failure track record 10 miles long. Drop that football team into an FCS conference and get back to focusing on shooty hoops.

Hello I'm new to the board and was trying to learn somethings about your guys team. I am an NMSU Aggie and will be watching your game this Saturday. First does anyone have a two deep for your team? Also what is the strengths of your team? How will quarterback play be this year? Thanks and good luck to you guys.

Haha so true. I think I told y'all I graduated from HS in the Don Haskins Center. I would love for us to play UTEP in basketball...that would be full circle for me.

We need an East vs West rivalry.

For the life of me I honestly can't see how UTEP doesn't consistently play at a higher level. They have top notch facilities in all sports, from what I understand the school is very good, it's a beautiful campus. Hell even El Paso is a great city. Lots to do, great night life, a convenient airport.
You can't tell me El Paso isn't a more attractive place than Boise, Idaho.

We will probably have a "two-deep" on sfajacks.com in a couple days... Tuesday or Wednesday. Maybe.

I've heard that it is the general location of these programs that make it more difficult to recruit.

I agree. If El Paso wasn't so isolated from everything else, I would move back in a flash. Even that, it has changed and grown so much. I was an East side girl (east side vs west side rivalry was big in my day because the west side was known as the $$ side). I went back in 2006 or 2008 and it had grown tremendously on the east side!! Area that was nothing but desert had developed. Many more restaurants...I know downtown has been revitalized, too. My friends are always posting fun stuff that they are doing. It's very much a smaller city feel (think San Marcos) than the much larger city it actually is. Haskins Center and NMSU are great venues for concerts. El Paso has a minor league baseball team that's fun. Cost of living is really good. Mountains are beautiful. Good hospital systems, good public schools.

I also enjoyed the airport...super easy to get in and out. Always have to go to DFW or Houston to go any where big but didn't have to deal with crazy lines/security.

And....I've just talked myself into visiting as soon as things are safer. I can fly out of Hobby on Southwest or take a road trip. Maybe a detour to Big Ben.

If they could get sports on track, I think it could have more appeal, IMO.

I noticed he wasn't on the roster. Hoping it was just an oversight.

The media team is a little short since Kevin Young left. They are making do with who they have for a period of time.

Not a fan of this logo on the helmet to be honest. Looks way to big like it doesn't fit correctly. Leave with the State of Texas logo, or just "Jacks" in purple.

Agree about logo. I much prefer to see the old SFA over the state.

In Austin on Spectrum cable is appears that this game will be on cable channel 393.

I still contend that it's not a good logo in a small format. I've asked many people to tell me what they see in their Twitter logo. No one sees a double bladed axe sideways. However, winning has a way of making all things look better.
