He was there, but the cameraman on the ESPN broadcast was misinformed about who he was. At least twice when they were talking about Carthel they were showing one of the assistants.

Look, I'm with ya. It's a horrible spot. But, just as horrible is running the same defense out there, with no changes.

It's why we may end the year with the worst defense in America.

I'd like for us to try something, ANYTHING, that can produce some level of success, even if it's a radical idea.

What's even better is Matt Faye's preview article. It specifically says that a loss to SFA would be a total embarrassment. I'm not going to post the link here (I think it's bad luck) but suffice it to say that the Beaumont Enterprise writer felt like a victory was almost a sure thing.
