Yes, we do love our Tigers even though with the exception of this season where we went 10-4 and made it to the quarters, football has been down (to our standards) for several years now since the 2013 team.

Before the 2018 season the powers that be in Daingerfield even tried to bring back Coach Dennis Alexander (70 years old now) who coached that 1983 team and was at Daingerfield from 1976-1988.

He didn't have much success after he left for Henderson and recently he was fired at Troup. He was one of three finalist for the job and when he didn't make the cut the town started a petition to hire him.

Even though Daingerfield was founded in the early 1840s Daingerfield football didn't start until 1930.

Also, just FYI for anyone hoping to read these guys backgrounds before we get them up on our site. The Commerce site has deleted their info, because they no longer work there.

However, if you search on google, you can still view the cached pages. So for example, type Matt Storm A&M Commerce into the search bar, and you'll come up with a list of results. Instead of clicking directly on the link, there will be a small arrow at the end that'll let you view the "cached page". Select that and you'll be able to view the information that google has crawled.

Someone around Nac is going to get some excellent coaches, whether we can use them at SFA or Nac/Central Heights hires them. Or who knows, we might have the best coached travel teams around lol.

I'd like to see a T-Shirt or car sticker with the phrase "The Axe is Back" on it. I think we've used that before but this might be a good time to pull it out again.
