St. Louis Cardinals reliever Jordan Hicks has matched Aroldis Chapman's mark for the fastest pitch in recorded baseball history (since recording started in 2008). According to StatCast, here are the five pitches Hicks threw to Phillies outfielder Odubel Herrera yesterday, which also happen to be the five fastest pitches thrown this season.

104.2 mph sinker called strike
105 mph sinker ball
104.3 mph sinker foul
105 mph sinker foul
103.7 mph sinker swinging strike

Nasty! Hicks had not pitched above the Class A level before this year. Wow!
