Former Texas and Cal State Fullerton baseball coach Augie Garrido died yesterday as a result of a stroke suffered last weekend. He was 79. Garrido's teams won 1,975 games, the most in collegiate history. He won three national titles at Fullerton and two at UT.

Garrido stayed too long, but arguably the best of all time. Appreciate his success at Texas. RIP.
