Will drop this in here as it doesn't seem to warrant its own thread, but interesting nonetheless.

NCAA is working on a proposal to revamp eligibility. Starting at HS graduation or players 19th birthday, whichever is earlier, student will have 5 years of eligibility under the proposal.

Exceptions for military service, maternity leave, and religious missions.

No redshirts, no other waivers. Goal is to clean up the massive appeal to play extra years mess.

Hope it passes constitutional muster. Not sure if it's legal but agree with the idea that college athletics needs some boundaries.
