I look forward to the NCAA and college sports falling flat on their face when the NIL house of cards comes crumbling down. It will not be sustainable. Then the few rich kids can go off and start their own mercenary super conference and then perhaps the rest of us can put together some plan with more sane ideas and college sports could actually continue.

The ludicrous gets even more ludicrous.

Two former players in the G-Leaue - PROFESSIONALS, mind you -- have been given approvals to play college ball, one at Santa Clara and one at Louisville.

The decision makers at the NCAA are so afraid of getting sued that their destruction of amateurism in college sports continues. What's next? Allowing former NBA players to play college sports?

The biggest problem with Lamar the last two decades is that it is a top 4 job in the Southland - specifically #4. There's obviously worse jobs, but they have been in a rut where they're not bad enough to overhaul the program or good enough to justify spending more. I thought Brooks did more to change the culture than his predecessor, but it's not an enviable job to take regarding future success right now.

The 2026 College Basketball Invitational (CBI) has been cancelled. This leaves only the NCAA, NIT, and something called the College Basketball Crown as the only remaining postseason D-I tournaments.

The WAC gets an exempt bid to the NIT and the right to host for being the 12th best conference. I wouldn't be surprised if Utah Valley gets that spot.
