So many flops by the cardinals. My goodness. Glad they let one called a basketball play though.

Tie game at half. Ladyjacks have to turn up the D without fouling. Tuisala played some good minutes.

OHH. Every foul or missed shot drives up the BP.
Will have to switch to 107 app though. Closing on my dad's house today.
You guys need to get us to the W!

Winning 3 in a row is difficult for a full bench team. It's still only happened once on the men's side (17-18 Jacks). The Ladyjacks have the quality. You know Bishop is letting everyone know about last year's hurt and not wanting to repeat it.

The ring is the goal. Time to take it.

I think we can safely say that Avery's back problems are behind her. (Pun intended.)

I have to admit I am a little out of touch this year while I have been involved with TJC's athletics but of the girls that are hurt, are they all done for the year but should be ready for next year?

I hope for the best for them tomorrow. I won't be able to watch flying back home. Hoping to land with a dub!

Don't quote me on this, but Lydia Cooke-Wiggins and Mimi Gatewood should be good to go next year, assuming they choose to stay. Mimi in particular has had a rough go of it for two straight years, one with scholastics and one with an injury.

And as a reminder, SFA already has commitments from two "bigs" for next year...

6'2" Aziyah Farrier from Frisco Liberty HS, a former teammate of Key Roseby there.

6'3" Talia Vann from Oklahoma City, who has two older sisters playing for OU.

I can't wait to see who else we get when the transfer portal opens in two weeks. We'll have a good core of solid players coming back but will have lots of holes to fill.

Len talks often about these girls having dawg in them. Unless you are there in person, you can't see the full range of emotions and physical difficulties they fight through. There are times where it looks like they can barely walk off the court, then they are back out there going hard again. During time outs, trainers are working on several of them getting them ready to get back in the fight. I know Pilotgirl and V saw it in person.

The players of the game for me were T Mo and Avery. You see T Mo's stats. What you don't see is the number of times she hit the floor. Hard. Yet she got up and went back to work. You can also see Avery's stats. What you can't see is the vocal leadership she provided, going from player to play pumping them up. I have never seen her that amped. She was absolutely the leader of the team today.

That was a great game. SLU is really good. We must stay out of early foul trouble. We need Faith to be Faith. She sat out essentially all of the second quarter, and never got In rhythm, but did add a key bucket and two free throws late in the game. Almost every girl is dealing with some physical issue. Some you know about. Some you don't. The trainers may be the real MVP's this season.

Dr. Weaver and his wife Kristi, have been at both games, sitting in the stands.

28-5

For his first two seasons as a HC, Len is 50-17. While essentially remaking the team.

Avery 100% was being the leader we needed today. Traylor has been in her head a bit. T MO is doing important things on both ends of the ball. We saw both T MO and Faith taking inhalers...that they can compete this well and have asthma is crazy to me!! Key and Tua both contributed today, too.

We last played SLU on Jan 9th and they beat us by 6 points. Their coach said they had the flu then. I hope they underestimate us lol

Gets upset very easily, mostly at herself, when she messes up or a call doesn't go her way. Usually it's ok but noticed it yesterday & today was more amped up. She had some costly turnovers today because of it. Imo,.she needs to share the ball more. She can lose it easily off the dribble.

I hope I can eat my words tomorrow!

I'm not sure what Coach Bishop is making but we need to extend him and give him a big ol' raise after the job he has done these two years!!!!

Current NET ratings for the 4pm championship.

(#1) Southeastern LA (26-4) - 93
(#3) Stephen F. Austin (28-5) - 85

A battle of top 100 teams just like the championship should be.
