Looks like former Lumberjack JT Turner is already back in the portal after just one season at Henderson.

Huge loss for Utah Tech. Maybe SFA can try and reach out to him though. Incredibly fast with great hands.

Would be awesome to have another speedy threat in the slot. Would help us open up our passing attack and hit more crossing routes.

Always plenty of OL men, and the portal is packed, so I'm sure we will see a nice blend of experienced OL men to go along with the young talent SFA already has on the roster.

OL: #73 NATE ADAMS 6-7; 321 (JR.) GP:10 *
OL: #56 AARON CASTRO 6-1; 306 (SR.) GP:8
OL: #71 ROBERT KELLER 6-7; 310 (JR.) GP:8
OL: #75 GRANT JEFFERIS 6-5; 275 (JR.) GP:6
OL: #76 JORDAN GUILLORY 6-2; 270 (JR.) GP:2
OL: #52 ZAVIER LEONARD 6-4; 300 (JR.) GP:1
OL: #57 JARED MANOS 6-0; 250 (SO.) GP:1
OL: #63 JACK BACON 6-6; 280 (SO.) GP:1
OL: #55 ERIK GRAY 6-1; 280 (SO.) GP:0
OL: #59 WILL THOMPSON V 5-11; 265 (SO.) GP:0
OL: #74 IAN MORGAN 6-4; 250 (SO.) GP:0
OL: DONOAVAN RANDLE 6-0; 300 (SO.)
OL: #77 CHIMDIA NWAIWU 6-6; 255 (R/FR.) GP:0
OL: #78 JAYMON LAMB 6-5; 250 (R/FR.) GP:0
OL: #61 JASON CROWDER 6-3; 290 (R/FR.) GP:0
OL: #79 KOLT DEL LA TORRE 6-2; 310 (R/FR.) GP:0
OL: JAMILL LINDSEY 6-3; 270 (R/FR.)
OL: CHRISTIAN PETTWAY 6-6; 270 (FR.)
OL: TREVANTI DAVIS 6-4; 290 (FR.)

I think you start with this nucleus and look for the next guys to step up to fill in those guard positions.

Maybe Crowder, Del La Torre, or Leonard?

OL: #73 NATE ADAMS 6-7; 321 (JR.) GP:10

OL: #56 AARON CASTRO 6-1; 306 (SR.) GP:8

The days of FCS and G5 schools being somewhere athletes stay all 4 years is probably coming to a close, especially if they have talent. Good for the players who can cut it going somewhere they'll have a much greater chance to achieve their NFL goals, but you have to think it's gonna make long lasting success for lower tiered teams a lot harder when they can't hold onto their best players anymore.

You have to think who SFA might've lost if it was like this in the past. Jeremy Moses? Gus Johnson? Cordell Roberson? JFM?

Then again the mindset may be different. I work with a lot of former athletes who all share pretty much the same sentiment, a hate for the current transfer portal and NIL. Most think players should be paid but not to the extent we are seeing.

I'm surprised NFL scouts aren't viewing the constant transferring as a red flag. It would be an indicator for me that unless there's a good reason for the transfer they're just gonna want to jump ship at the first sign of trouble.

Definitely do not support offering guys looking for their 4th school. Maybe First school was a mistake or lack of playing time but by the time you get to the 4th school to attend then the problem would seem to be the individual and not 3 previous schools.
Ljacks&Longnecks
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Agree with the former players you have spoken with.....the transfer portal and the NIL things are very destructive for college football as a whole and all mid majors who can't compete with the big money. Of course the big schools don't care as there are plenty of folks out there that only want to watch the same 20-30 money schools play.
Personally would like to see the UT, Michigan, Ohio St, Alabama and others break off and have their own super leagues ...then let the rest of us play real college football the way it was meant to be played.
