Tall, I think you're correct, regarding Carthels salary.

Also, when I checked athletic budgets in the USA TODAYour budget was 3rd behind Sam and Lamar. Sam about $19 million. Us at about $17.5 million. Lamar in between.

UIW and HBU release similar athletic budgets compared to us .... important note that HBU/UIW scholarships are 4X 5X what a SFA or Sam scholarship cost. What a difference that makes to cost of running an athletics department. They (UIW/HBU/ACU) have a significant cost disadvantage.

NDSU is the gold standard of FCS football. They just took national title number 8 in 10 years and their freshman QB won the Walter Payton Award.

That team could probably go to the Big 12 or PAC12 and have an above .500 record if not contend for the conference.

Every FCS school should aspire to be 1% of what NDSU has been this past decade.
