Lateef Patrick is now in the portal
can't blame him if he can get a pay raise but it's hard to lose those kind of players. Wish him well.

I can't either, but I'm a little worried about next year's roster.

There's currently 13 players on the 2026 roster (6 graduated/ transferred and 4 have committed for next year).

That only leaves two roster spots available and we don't have any superstars like we did with Keon and lateef last year.

From what I'm hearing, eltramon is the only player left to still transfer. Everyone else is returning

Looks like we need to hit the portal for some studs then. Simple as that.

Ya. It feels like we need 2X guys that are 6'7" 6'8" so we have some rim protection.

Couple of bigs and maybe a true PG. Not sure if we have anyone else controlling the offense at the moment unless we trust a Freshman.

That will probably Erik Makke. I would expect Marcus Scurry to step Mohammed role and play quality minutes next year

I read it the same way. Makke is at the point.

Scurry will see meaningful minutes. Not a threat to get to the basket. Has to improve beyond the arc. His ball handling was good. Not great.

Beautiful love to see it all.

Don't forget about Kensington Candler. One of the best high school point guards in the state of Texas this year.

Ya. He could be a more than capable backup to Makke. Who knows.

Looked at the film on Makke. Pretty complete player. The book on the league he played in (Estonia) was roughly, on par with the MVC. The stats he put up are impressive.

Would love to see Candler get 10-15 minutes/ game

I think Manu Manciel will see more action than him

Scurry should see the floor a good bit. Freshman year behind him and should develop.

I was impressed with Scurry this year. He was a true freshman. Should be alot better next year. If I remember correctly, he played on
A State Championship team in high school.

Good luck to Lateef. He doesn't seem to have the game that complements a P4 team, but maybe his agent can find him some money. Kam is a good shooter but even though he was a starter, it never seemed like he was part of the system.
