No, they just entered the portal, most today, I'm just tracking Texas players, as they would be the most likely to come back to Texas.

Former 5-Star Texas A&M QB Conner Weigman commits to Houston.

Weigman was 9-4 in 13 starts for the Aggies, and was the starter at QB for A&M at the beginning of this season, having a big win against #9 Missouri, throwing for almost 300 yards, before a foot injury sidelined him for the remainder of the season.

Threw for almost 2,700 yards and 19 TD's his time at Texas A&M.

Willie Fritz is building that Cougar program back up.

Houston opens the 2025 season against Stephen F. Austin.

You knew this was coming with Manning staying and the signing of Bell.

SFA offered in 2024, and his parents are big time SFA alumni Dad (Joe Owens) played football in the late 1990's and early 2000's, and his Mom is (Kristy Rhodes-Owens), SFA Hall of Fame in volleyball.

Will have to see how this turns out.

Offers out of high school, SFA, Texas, Texas Tech, Baylor, Houston, SMU, Rice, Tulsa, UConn, UTSA, Washington State

Wow. Not sure we could "afford" him though. He'll be offered big wompom by FBS schools with money that we could not possibly match.

Not only that but I wonder if he'd risk coming here knowing he would have to compete with Gavin for the starting job.

The job will be Gavin's to lose at this point, and I think the coaches will view it as Gavin having earned it. He's been here, stuck it out, and played his role as a backup pretty perfectly, especially this season. I don't see the coaches not favoring him over anyone unless he just has a bad offseason.

I don't know... I don't want to besmertch what Gavin has contributed this year, but I still don't have a warm and fuzzy feeling about Gavin taking the reigns next year. He has been surrounded by some great starting teammates on offense this year, many of whom will graduate. And he doesn't have Sam's arm strength or accuracy, and although he has some wheels, they're not Michelin-quality wheels.

Anyway, it's waaay early to even ponder those things. Bigger fish to fry now.
